It's been too close to predict but on Sunday night's live X Factor show James Arthur was crowned winner of the X Factor 2012. 

The former bedsit resident, 24, was speechless as he learned that he had gained more votes than runner up Jahmene Douglas. 

He said: 'Thank you, thank you so much. Have I really won? Wow. I don't know what to say.'
