Texas woman 'planted gun in school bag of boyfriend's teenage son before reporting him to police'

A Texas woman has been jailed after police say she intentionally hid a gun in the book bag of her boyfriend's 13-year-old son before reporting him to authorities.
After sending the young teen unknowingly armed to his junior high school outside Houston, Magnolia County authorities say Heather Hodges, 26, placed an anonymous call alerting officials of his weapon.
Police say Hodges was acting on a grudge against the teen who is the son of her now former live-in boyfriend.
'Her explanation to me was that she wanted to see my son get into trouble,' the boy's father who wished to remain unknown told KTRK.
Montgomery County police say Hodges has confessed to planting the gun on the Magnolia Junior High School teen.
Authorities say last month Hodges rummaged through the boy's backpack, removing a few items before planting the unloaded pistol inside.
Making sure the boy got caught, after sending him to school police say surveillance cameras captured her pulling up to a pay phone outside a convenience store and reporting him to authorities.
The boy was detained with the pistol, like the woman reported, found in his possession.
'Their relationship wasn't great so he automatically was like, "it was Heather that called,'" the boy's father said.
He said the two had gotten into a fight the week before, propelling her both bizarre and potentially dangerous form of retaliation.
The boy's father says Hodges has two children of her own from a previous relationship.
With the boy found exonerated of all wrongdoing according to school officials, Hodges is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $20,000 bond.
She's charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon on restricted premises and unlawfully transferring a handgun to someone under the age of 18.
The father has since moved from Magnolia to further remove his son from the harmful situation.
‘That's hard to get past,' the father told KTRK. 'It's hard to look at it and say, "OK, I forgive you. Oh, you made a mistake." That's a huge mistake to make.'
