“Are you having sex for £10,000?" Trainee hairdresser wins £20k for indecent proposal from boss

A trainee hairdresser who was offered cash by her boss to have sex with him has won more than £20,000 compensation.
Iranian-born Maryam Mashayekhi, 34, said married Toni & Guy manager Christopher Story asked: “Are you having sex for £1,000, what about £2,000 or £10,000?”
They were in the dad-of- two’s car while on a job but she refused, telling him: “Not even for £20,000. I love my husband.”
Mr Story, 39, denied the sex-for-cash offer but an employment tribunal ruled: “It was an example of Mr Story’s unwanted conduct” which created “a humiliating and offensive environment.”
It upheld claims of sex and race discrimination after comments about her nationality.
Mrs Mashayekhi quit after six months at the Sheffield Toni & Guy franchise in 2010 with severe depression.
She said: “I come from a country where I didn’t have rights. Here everybody has theirs. I was fighting for mine.”
The Sheffield tribunal found the franchise, George Plus One Ltd, unfairly and constructively dismissed her.
