When officers pulled over the dozy 25-year-old he told them he was taking it to a scrap yard and had removed much of the bodywork to sell for more cash
. But he thought it was OK to drive as it had an MOT.

The dad-of-two, from Nottingham, was fined £110 by magistrates in the city after being convicted of driving a dangerous car.

Wilson said after the hearing: “I was starting college and was only getting £150 at the scrapyard, so I thought if I took the doors off and other parts I’d get more money

"I wouldn’t have driven it if I didn’t think it was safe.”
He was also ordered to pay £120 costs
