Brown's rep explained in a statement to Entertainment Weeklythat after the singer was cut off by photogs, "the occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley, at which point he was cut off by two additional vehicles."
He apparently crashed into a wall, which shattered upon impact. The car looked pretty banged up too and was towed at Brown's request.
While the singer has his side of the story, Chris Doherty, owner of INF, the agency that employed the photographers at the scene, says his guys "had nothing to do with Chris Brown crashing."
Doherty insists his cameramen arrived AFTER Chris crashed. "No photographers were following him at the time he crashed," he told TMZ. "He crashed his car and it’s convenient for him to blame us. He needs to be careful with his defamatory statements."
So far, the Beverly Hills police have issued a statement on the matter, but wouldn't comment on facts beyond the crash itself.
