Police have released these images of the pensioner's horrific injuries in a bid to prompt people to come forward with information about the attack
These pictures reveal the horrific injuries a pensioner suffered after she was severely battered and left for dead by an intruder who stole cash and jewellery from her home.
The woman's family has said the 76-year-old 'will never recover' as detectives released the shocking pictures in a bid to prompt people to come forward with information six months after the attack.
Police have said the attacker forced entry to the pensioner's home in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in the early hours of Monday, May 13.
She was left with a broken nose, a dislocated jaw, a fractured wrist, a suspected fracture of her left eye socket, a deep cut to her head and extensive bruising following the incident.
The woman, who has not been named, still suffers from severe migraines and tinnitus as a result of the assault, the force said.
The intruder has not been found despite an extensive police inquiry.
The woman's daughter said: 'It was a horrific and cowardly attack.
'My poor mother was left for dead. She tried to tell him: "Just take what you want", but he kept on hitting her.
'There are people in Bradford who know who the attacker is. How would he or they feel if that sort of thing happened to their mother?
'People need to realise the trail of devastation that this leaves behind. It’s not just rocked my mum’s life, it’s rocked the whole famil
