With the ambiance of a mid-range provincial hotel circa 1975, it has a homely simplicity, but it is no palace on wheels.
Formica panels, Fifties-style G-plan furniture, plastic baths and strip lights (no chandeliers here) would hardly lend themselves to an Agatha Christie-style whodunnit — unless, perhaps, one was filming Murder On The Leyton Orient Express.
